Takoyaki (たこ焼き or 蛸焼^?) is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special takoyaki pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion.^[1][2] Takoyaki are brushed with takoyaki sauce, similar to Worcestershire sauce, andmayonnaise. The takoyaki is then sprinkled with green laver (aonori) and shavings of dried bonito (katsuobushi). There are many variations to the takoyaki recipe, for example, ponzu (soy sauce with dashi and citrus vinegar), goma-dare (sesame-and-vinegar sauce) or vinegared dashi.

area kl/selangor dah ramai yg jual takoyaki... kat kiosk, pasar malam seme pun ada. sebelah utara agak kurang. kat takotao jusco ada. and just found out area kepala batas ada kedai kek klu tak silap jual takoyaki.

my first taste of takoyaki  masa  dok kat jepun sekitar 2001-2004.  memang suka sangat takoyaki ni...selalu beli kat Gindaco.  Pastu sama2 dgn kawan2 masa kat sana ...kami belajar buat takoyaki. tak susah coz kat sana ada jual tepung premix takoyaki.  tapi sos kami buat sendiri...rekacipta, rasanya belajar dgn kak Saadiah.  pakat2 belajar le golek takoyaki nak bagi bulat hehehe.  

Bila balik mesia, susah nak dapat tepung...kalau ada pun harga sangat2 mahal.  cuba surf utk resipi buat sendiri... dah cuba tapi tak sesedap tepung premix.  ada bahan yg diperlu dicampur lagi selain dari tepung and baking powder etc....utk mendapatkan tepung yg berperisa macam tepung premix.

Now,  saya dah mula jual takoyaki coz dah dapat supplier tepung premix dr jepun tu.  saya tak mau jual guna tepung adun sendiri coz saya nak rasa yg sama or lebih kurang sama dgn kat jepun.  saya selalu dapat feedback dari kawan2 yg biasa beli dari pasar malam or tako tao...yg derang tak puas ati dgn rasanya. derang lebih suka buat sendiri guna tepung premix ni lagi dari beli di tpt2 tersebut. lebih sedap. sebab tu saya jual takoyaki yg menggunakan tepung premix hehehe.

buat masa ni saya cuma limitkan takoyaki pada filling tako = octopus.

harga nya agak mahal 10 pcs for rm14.00 . napa mahai coz bahan mentah mahai plus skil.
